1. Recent policy centre updates

   Updates and revisions have been made across a range of LJMU staff policies.

2. Expressions of interest welcomed for multiple Academic Board vacancies

   The Secretariat is now seeking expressions of interest from eligible LJMU staff to serve on the Academic Board and to take up their roles in September.

3. Changes to Financial Codes - new guidance

   Effective immediately - The finance team has simplified the codes you use in systems like I-Buy

4. New PhD scholarships and thematic pathway to boost Research support

   The Bicentennial Vice-Chancellor PhD scholarships are now open

5. Alleged Misconduct in Research and Knowledge Exchange Policy now approved

   The policy can be accessed via the LJMU Policy Centre.

6. Making Every Contact Count training January

   Staff are invited to take part in a Making Every Contact Count training day on Monday 15 January.

7. New Academic Achievement teaching resources

   Each of these resources is a standalone academic skills class accompanied by a full lesson plan with teaching notes.

8. LJMU Religion & Belief Workshops “Understanding religious diversity of our students and staff community”

   LJMUs Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team, are proud to be working in partnership with Zia Chaudhry (Director of LJMU Foundation for Citizenship), Zane Abdo (LJMU Muslim Adviser/Chaplin), Rabbi Natan Fagleman (LJMU Jewish Chaplain), Hannah Padfield (LJMU Anglican Chaplain), Father Neil Ritchie (LJMU Catholic Chapain) and other external consultants in order to offer LJMU Staff (& Students*), the opportunity to participate in a bespoke, half day Religion & Belief workshop.

9. Academic Registry Roadshows February and March

   The Student Governance Team will deliver the next roadshow on Friday 24 February, Redmonds Building 2.33 and Registry Services will deliver a session on Tuesday 7 March, SLB 3.02.

10. Expressions of interest welcomed for Academic Board vacancies

    There are five vacancies available and eligible staff should send an expression of interest for the role to the Secretariat.
