6. Liverpool announces world-leading end-to-end Pandemic Institute

   Liverpool John Moores University is partnering with the citys major health research and public organisations to launch the headquarters of the Global Pandemic Institute, committed to helping the world prevent, prepare, and respond more effectively to pandemics.

7. Aldham Robarts Library to remain closed on Sundays until end of 2023

   Staff and students can access alternate library services at the Student Life Building or visit the Avril Robarts Library on Sundays.

8. Student artists show their work in end of year showcase

   Open exhibitions curated by LJMU students at the John Lennon Art and Design building for two weeks

9. Support for transgender and non-binary students

   We now have dedicated information on our student support webpages, for transgender and non-binary students, to find out how to get help and support while at university, as well as requesting a name change via LJMU.

10. Discovery Internships for level 5 and 6 students open for applications

    The second round of paid Discovery Internships this semester are open until midnight on Sunday 17 December 2023. Interviews will take place before the end of January 2024 and the internships will begin from early February 2024 (start dates may vary for each role).
