1. Health advice - mumps

   We are aware of a couple of LJMU students being diagnosed with mumps in the last few days.

2. LJMU Academic awarded National Teaching Fellowship

   Ester Ragonese, Associate Dean Education (APS) and Senior Lecturer in Criminal Justice has been awarded a National Teaching Fellowship from Advance HE.

3. LJMU honours Bicentenary fellows

   LJMU has honoured 10 new fellows as part of its Bicentenary celebrations at a memorable event at St George’s Hall.

4. International Day of Elimination of Racial Discrimination

   To mark the day, Marie Hie, JMSU's Black and Asian Minority Ethic Student Officer, talks about LJMU's reciprocal mentoring scheme and how we can all contribute to reducing inequalities

5. New staff facilities now open

   A new staff lounge is now open in Byrom Street as part of a programme of works to enhance facilities in our City Campus.

6. Support for LJMU staff during exam season

   As the exam period gets underway, we understand it can be a stressful time for students but also for our staff, so were reminding everyone of the free 24/7 support services available at LJMU.

7. Bicentenary Artist in Residence the year so far

   Julia Midgley has sketched the return of our Roscoe Lecture Series, graduation and art and drama students' work.

9. Postgraduate Research Experience Survey 2019

   The 2019 Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) is now open. The survey runs from Monday 1 April until Friday 10 May.

10. Restrictions on using USBs

    From Monday 4 September, students will no longer be able to use USB storage devices on LJMU computers, laptops and other IT equipment.
