4. LJMU celebrates South Asian and East/Southeast Asian Heritage Months

   In celebration of South Asian Heritage Month (July 18 to August 17) and East and Southeast Asian Heritage Month (September), LJMU held an event on campus.

5. Sexual Violence Awareness Week

   Throughout Sexual Violence Awareness Week (Monday 4th – Sunday 10th February), a new team of staff from Student Advice and Wellbeing Services were out and about across the University to talk to students and staff about the impact sexual violence and harassment has on individuals and communities

6. Students gain insight into world of international boxing

   Students from the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, Liverpool Screen School and Liverpool Business School gained real-world insight into professional boxing and PR with a campus visit from worldwide boxing promoters Matchroom and boxer Peter McGrail.

9. Astronomical Day celebrating National Care Leavers Week.

   In celebration of National Care Leavers Week LJMU welcomed 40 looked after pupils from 10 schools across the North West Region.

10. In memoriam: Peter Law

    The university is deeply saddened by the death of Peter Law, who passed away peacefully after a short illness on Thursday 8 February.
