1. ITV bosses work with LJMU students

   Top bosses at ITV were back in the Liverpool Screen School recently running two days of workshops with undergraduate and postgraduate students as part of the ITV Northern Lights Partnership.

2. Academic Board vacancies

   The Secretariat is now taking expressions of interests from eligible candidates for two vacancies on the Academic Board, a Directorate and a Professoriate member.

3. Updated Assessment and Feedback Policy

   The policy has been updated with two new areas of activity on internal moderation and the use of generative AI (GenAI) in assessment.

4. Returning to campus

   Welcome back and happy new year the university has now fully reopened, and we look forward to seeing you on campus.  There are some continuing guidelines we require everyone to observe to make sure we can keep you all safe

5. Student Recruitment, Marketing and Admissions take LJMU to Northern Ireland

   The university sent more than sixty staff and students to Belfast welcoming more than 700 visitors to two applicant events.

6. Another successful year for the online summer course “Sustainability and Employability”

   Over 60 students successfully completed the online summer course Sustainability and Employability: Understanding Sustainability Issues and Getting Ready for the Job Market.

7. Journalism students help to create poignant police memorial

   LJMU students have been praised for their work on a unique collaboration with the UK Police National Memorial.

8. Ice Age bone samples reveal DNA links between wolves and dogs

   An international group of geneticists and archaeologists have analysed bones samples, some provided by LJMU, that reveal the ancestry of dogs can be traced to at least two populations of ancient wolves.

9. Get vaccinated on campus this October

   Female students aged 18 to 25 can get a HPV or MMR vaccine at Byrom Street, Monday to Saturday from 14 to 26 October.

10. Apply to study abroad

    Applications for LJMU’s study abroad programme are now open. Students can apply to spend either one semester or an academic year abroad at one of LJMU’s partner institutions across the globe.
