2. Reciprocal Mentoring Programme involving BAME Staff, Black Students and Senior Leaders

   Given the success of last year's pilot, we are running the LJMU Reciprocal Mentoring Programme again and we are extending it to include BAME staff from across the institution. The programme is open to all LJMU Senior Staff from Director Level of non BAME Background and to BAME staff from non-Director Level and to Black Students from all Faculties.

3. Transgender Awareness Workshop 

   LJMU's Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team are proud to be working in partnership with Subject Matter Expert; GenderSpace and are pleased to offer LJMU/JMSU Staff the opportunity to participate in a virtual, half day (three hour) Transgender Awareness Workshop.

5. Let’s Talk About Race Equality (Debating White Privilege, Micro-Aggressions, Allyship & Active Bystanders)

   The 2020 Black Lives Matter movement, reignited conversations on the subject of race equality, across the globe - The need for positive culture change was at the forefront of those discussions. This workshop aims to equip participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to address race equality at LJMU and understand the importance of ally-ship.

   Home cameras and baby monitors are wide open to cyber-hackers, according to an expert at Liverpool John Moores University.

7. Teaching Staff - Call For Nominations to the Board of Governors

   Nominations are sought to fill one vacancy on the Board of Governors for a Staff Governor (Teaching) for the period 1st April 2020 to 31st March 2023.

8. Taking Shaun the Sheep to China

   Aardman Animations is teaming up with creative technology experts in Liverpool to develop research for an immersive Shaun the Sheep experience in China.

9. Training for managers/personal tutors on disabilities and long-term health conditions, including mental health

   The aim of the programme is to offer LJMU Managers, Programme Leaders and Personal Tutors further support and guidance, in relation to; operating more confidently and effectively, whilst developing themselves and their staff/students positively.

10. LJMU Religion & Belief Workshops “Understanding religious diversity of our students and staff community”

    LJMUs Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team, are proud to be working in partnership with Zia Chaudhry (Director of LJMU Foundation for Citizenship), Zane Abdo (LJMU Muslim Adviser/Chaplin), Rabbi Natan Fagleman (LJMU Jewish Chaplain), Hannah Padfield (LJMU Anglican Chaplain), Father Neil Ritchie (LJMU Catholic Chapain) and other external consultants in order to offer LJMU Staff (& Students*), the opportunity to participate in a bespoke, half day Religion & Belief workshop.
