1. IWD: Women still earn £8,000 less than men - report

   Women still earn around £8,000 less than men in the Liverpool City Region, a new report has identified.

2. Summer building closing times

   LJMU buildings will move to summer opening hours from Monday 19 June.

3. Discovery Internships for level 5 and 6 students open for applications

   The second round of paid Discovery Internships this semester are open until midnight on Sunday 17 December 2023. Interviews will take place before the end of January 2024 and the internships will begin from early February 2024 (start dates may vary for each role).

   Submissions from across the LJMU community and our partner organisations are now being sought for the 2023 conference taking place in June.

5. Christmas closure and support services over the festive break

   The university will close at 5pm on Thursday 23 December and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 4 January. The Student Life Building will be open 24/7 throughout the festive break including on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
