1. Graduate Tutor Trainees join Positive Action Programme

   Six Graduate Tutor Trainees have begun a four-year programme at LJMU to gain invaluable teaching experience and strengthen the university's representation of Ethnically Diverse staff.

2. First-of-its-kind Jamaican art exhibition opening in Liverpool

   The first exhibition of wholly Jamaican art to be displayed in North-West England will find its home in Liverpool this spring. The exhibition has been curated by Dr Emma Roberts, Associate Dean for Global Engagement for the Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies at LJMU.

   You could receive between £250-£500 from LJMU’s Student Support Fund, to help with your energy bills.

4. Talented athletes recognised at national awards

   Three athletes supported by LJMUs Performance Sport team, at the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, have received national recognition for their achievements.

5. New hub of wellbeing events for students and staff

   We've launched the ‘Looking after your wellbeing’ event hub on the LJMU website to bring together all the different events happening across the university and help you look after your wellbeing.

6. Arts and Humanities Research Council awards LJMU £250,000

   LJMU researchers are to help regenerate post-industrial sites of China after successfully bidding for £250,000 funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council.

7. School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences launches Athena Swan Action Plan

   LJMUs School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences (PBS) has launched their Athena Swan 12-point action plan this week.

8. New ES1 form available for managers

   The Finance team has recently updated the ES1 form used to assess contractors against HMRCs off-payroll working rules (sometimes called IR35).
