1. Survey shows LJMU is a good place to work

   Staff at LJMU believe it is a good place to work, according to the results of this year’s Your LJMU, Your Voice survey.

3. Eight students compete in Archon University Fitness League

   Eight LJMU students took part in an Archon Fittest Universities Event in Birmingham earlier this month, with student Jordan McCarthy placing first across the leaderboard in the STRONG category.

4. Applications for Discovery Internships for level 5 and 6 students now open

   The final round of paid Discovery Internships for this academic year, which are all sustainability themed, are open for applications now from second and final year (level 5 and 6) students.

5. World Book Day 2024: Reading Rivers

   Final-year creative writing student Kayla Marsh sat down with seven members of staff to discuss their ‘Reading Rivers’ – from the books never finished to the books that evoked tears.

6. LJMU to spearhead new £5m Digital & Creative innovation initiative

7. Professorship and Readership Conferment: Call for submissions

   Each year applications are invited for the conferment of Professorships and Readerships and the process for 2020 is now open.

8. New Reading List Management System Launched.

   In January 2015 Library Services piloted the use of a reading list management system, Rebus:List with 27 academics across the University with a soft launch that Summer.

9. Getting to grips with technology in media

   Pupils from Sacred Heart College, Crosby joined the Media Technology Group of the Dept. of Electronics & Electrical Engineering to learn technical processes for creating TV programmes.

10. International arts festival will launch the new Liverpool Fabric District

    An international festival of art, music and performance featuring world firsts will be taking place in May to celebrate the launch of the Fabric District in Liverpool.
