4. Banging the drum for heavy rock and metal music on Merseyside

   LJMU academic Dr Nedim Hassan is taking centre stage in a collaborative project that aims to support and develop the heavy metal and hard rock music scene within the Liverpool City Region.

5. School of Humanities and Social Sciences create Craft Club for student wellbeing

   The department of Media, Culture, Communication in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences has established a new initiative to create space for students to socialise and support their wellbeing.

6. Liverpool FC Women rise to the top with an assist from LJMU

   Liverpool FC Women clinched the title of the FA Women's Championship and promotion earlier this month, thanks in part to the help of backroom sport science experts from LJMU.

7. School pupils capture their future in creative designs

   As part of their tenth year in the John Lennon Building celebrations, the Liverpool School of Art and Design posed this question to pupils at St Nicholas Catholic Primary School, providing a chance for artistic designs to flourish and future aspirations to be discussed.

   We now have dedicated information on our student support webpages, for transgender and non-binary students, to find out how to get help and support while at university, as well as requesting a name change via LJMU.

9. Military service leavers and reservists - feedback needed

   Our Armed Forces Champion wants to hear about the experiences of students who have served in the military or are reservists.

10. Staff networks explored, explained and celebrated

    Staff recently came together to celebrate the power of staff networks in the workplace and to mark the launch of the Admin and PA Staff Network.
