1. Talented athletes recognised at national awards

   Three athletes supported by LJMUs Performance Sport team, at the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, have received national recognition for their achievements.

2. New hub of wellbeing events for students and staff

   We've launched the ‘Looking after your wellbeing’ event hub on the LJMU website to bring together all the different events happening across the university and help you look after your wellbeing.

3. Arts and Humanities Research Council awards LJMU £250,000

   LJMU researchers are to help regenerate post-industrial sites of China after successfully bidding for £250,000 funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council.

4. School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences launches Athena Swan Action Plan

   LJMUs School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences (PBS) has launched their Athena Swan 12-point action plan this week.

5. LJMU launches University Funded Diversity and Inclusion Scheme

   LJMU is providing grants to academic staff, students, and professional services staff, to work on research across the university related to Diversity and Inclusion.

6. New ES1 form available for managers

   The Finance team has recently updated the ES1 form used to assess contractors against HMRCs off-payroll working rules (sometimes called IR35).

7. Join LJMU at Liverpool Pride 2024

   All students and staff are invited to join LJMU at Liverpool Pride on Saturday 27 July.

8. International students studying with upGrad celebrated in Liverpool

   Students from India, Jordan, Vietnam, Iran, Singapore and Norway took part in a three-day visit to LJMU.

9. Menopause cafes throughout 2024

   This year we will once again host four menopause cafes for our staff, with the first taking place on Tuesday 16 January, and anyone wishing to attend can book via the staff wellbeing events page.
