   LJMU and JMSU are gearing up for another action-packed Freshers period, here's some of the key things to expect.

   LJMU, in partnership with the Gender Identity Research and Education Society (GIRES), welcomed staff, students and community representatives to an engaging, interactive transgender workshop recently.

3. Alpine F1 performance coach and jet lag doctoral researcher visits LJMU ahead of new Formula 1 season

   Sport and Exercise Science Professional Doctorate student, Tom Clark, visited LJMU last week in preparation for the start of the new Formula 1 season and to discuss his jet lag research. Tom has spent the past four years working with the Alpine F1 team and specifically their driver Esteban Ocon.

4. Summer and graduate placement opportunities

   A great range of 200-hour part-time (20 hours per week over 10 weeks) and five-month full-time, paid student summer placements are currently available exclusively to LJMU students.

5. Research captures longstanding NI tradition

   A published collection of Northern Ireland’s murals, which captures a longstanding tradition of large community-based mural painting, has been produced by LJMU’s Dr Stuart Borthwick.

   The opportunities and challenges presented by Liverpool City Region's devolution deal have been outlined in a major new report produced by LJMU and the University of Liverpool.

   LJMU Media Production students go behind the scenes of Peaky Blinders which was filmed in Liverpool.

9. Mersey Youth Rowing's First Training Workshop with LJMU's Performance Sports Department

   The Performance Sports Department hosted Mersey Youth Rowing's inaugural training workshop. The program, developed by Warrington Rowing Club, promotes diversity in rowing and imparts vital life skills. Coached by experts including Dr. Tim Donovan and Professor Graeme Close, the workshop equips youth rowers with essential knowledge for their competitive journey.
