1. Framework for Academic Quality and Standards Policy update

   This staff policy has had a minor amendment.

2. Policy updates: Safeguarding, Freedom of Speech and more

   Student Advice and Wellbeing and the International team want to make staff aware in particular of an update to the Safeguarding Policy regarding under-18 international students with LJMU and collaborative partners.

3. MA Short Film Festival 2023 returns 24 to 31 March

   The festival returns for its third edition, featuring 42 films from across the globe that showcase the work of the best and brightest emerging student filmmakers.

4. Could you apply for a VC PhD Studentship?

   Submissions are now open for the PHD VC Studentship scheme 2023/24

5. ICC academic awarded AHRC Leadership Fellowship

   The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) has awarded Kerry Wilson, Head of Research at the Institute of Cultural Capital, a mid-career Leadership Fellowship

6. Menopause cafes to take place in person throughout 2023

   To keep conversations moving forward around the menopause, dates in January, April, July and October 2023 have been set for the next four menopause cafes.

7. Majority of April and May exams to be held online

   Most exams in April and May 2022 will be held online. There are a small number of examinations which will be held in-person due to specific requirements of the professional body.

9. Spring graduation 2024

   This April, LJMU celebrated the achievements of 2,678 students who graduated across eight ceremonies at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral.
