   LJMU has released its latest film to celebrate the bicentennial of the university. The film titled 200 years of ‘Yes you can’ celebrates the university’s long history within the city, raising people up.

3. LJMU ranks in top 60 UK universities for Sustainable Development Goals

   Liverpool John Moores University has ranked 301st to 400th internationally in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, for its commitment to the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The rankings also place LJMU in the top 60 UK universities and top six universities in the North West

4. New hub of wellbeing events for students and staff

   We've launched the ‘Looking after your wellbeing’ event hub on the LJMU website to bring together all the different events happening across the university and help you look after your wellbeing.

5. An afternoon with an astronaut

   Over 300 attendees from across Liverpool attended an ‘Afternoon with Helen Sharman ‘to listen to the inspiring story of what it was really like to become the first British astronaut in space.

6. Students and staff celebrate Ramaday and join together for Iftar

   Staff and students from across the university, both muslim and non-muslim, came together to break their fast (iftar).

7. 135 students graduate from global partner Westford University College

   Over 135 students have graduated this March at a ceremony in Dubai.

8. LJMU earns environmental recognition

   LJMU has been recognised for its environmental initiatives on campus following an external inspection.

9. LJMU Diversity and Inclusion Calendar 2023 for students

   LJMU’s Diversity and Inclusion Calendar is now available as a resource to all students on the LJMU website.

10. Get 'Too Good to Go' food from Core Cafes

    To further help with the Cost of Living and as part of our commitment to sustainability at LJMU, we’re launching the Too Good to Go app for students and staff this September.
