2. Chief Constable delivers Spring Lecture at LJMU

   Chief Constable Craig Guildford of West Midlands Police delivered his spring lecture at LJMU last week. The lecture titled Turning the Tanker: Reflections on 18 Months as Chief Constable of West Midlands Police was held in the Redmonds Building and saw Chief Constable Guildford share his strategic initiatives, and thoughts on the importance of community engagement, and the future direction of the force.

3. Free student transport to our Freshers Fair

   Free coach and Merseyrail train travel to and from the event.

4. Broadcast Hub delivers interviews with Sky News and international broadcasters

   The Broadcast Hub is proving to be a useful tool for further raising the profile of the University, with Dr David Lowe conducting interviews with Sky News and broadcasters based in Istanbul and Dubai.

5. Staff Stress Workshops

   Over the coming months we will be running a series of staff stress workshops.

6. New mental wellbeing peer support

   We have a new team in place to help support any member of staff with their mental wellbeing. The LJMU Connectors are on hand to provide peer support and make sure colleagues have access to the appropriate resources and services.

7. IT drop-in sessions

   IT Services is running a series of drop-in classroom display and audio technology introduction/refresher sessions

8. Pick up your free Wellbeing Journal

   Copies of the new 2022-23 Wellbeing Journal are now available for all students

9. Work starts on new student spaces

   Find out more about the new student social spaces that be popping up around campus over the summer, ready for students returning in September.

10. Register for the Students at the Heart Conference 2024

    Staff and students can now register to attend the conference, with various workshops and sessions taking place across the two days, in the Redmonds and Student Life buildings, on LJMU campus.
