1. New social media policy

   The university has launched its new social media policy to help staff get the most out of their communications and to stay safe.

2. New Professors and Readers

   LJMU has promoted five new professors and 34 new readers.

   The School of Biological & Environmental Sciences has been working on a project to improve Byrom Street Campus with 10 urban wildlife gardens.

   In a bid to better connect students with digital and creative businesses across the Liverpool City Region, Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Baltic Creative Community Interest Company (CIC).

5. New mental wellbeing peer support

   We have a new team in place to help support any member of staff with their mental wellbeing. The LJMU Connectors are on hand to provide peer support and make sure colleagues have access to the appropriate resources and services.

6. New arrangements for AV support

   We have a new system in place to support you in using audio visual and display technology in our teaching spaces.

8. New ES1 form available for managers

   The Finance team has recently updated the ES1 form used to assess contractors against HMRCs off-payroll working rules (sometimes called IR35).

9. #IDPD2019 - new development opportunities for staff

   LJMU to launch new Mental Health Awareness development opportunities for all staff in January 2020.

10. New devices to record student attendance

    A large number of new devices have been installed across two of our campuses to record student attendance.
