   The LJMU Global Opportunities Team is delighted to announce the launch of a new Global Opportunities Portal. This portal has been developed in-house by the LJMU ITS Team to offer a better user experience to our students seeking new experiences abroad.

   Academic Engagement Librarian Gemma Wright has been recognised by CILIP, The Library and Information Association, as an outstanding professional helping to lead the sector into a new age of information.

   Updates and revisions have been made across a range of LJMU staff policies.

6. New Neanderthal remains discovered

   LJMU researchers discover new remains at the Shanidar Cave in the mountains of Iraq.

7. New stars discovery shed new light on Galaxy's formation

   An astronomer from LJMU’s Astrophysics Research Institute has discovered a new family of stars in the core of the Milky Way Galaxy which provides new insights into the early stages of the Galaxy’s formation.

   LJMU has promoted five new professors and 34 new readers.

9. Continuous Monitoring and Enhancement updates on WebHub

   New and improved Continuous Monitoring and Enhancement (CME) for Module Leaders is now available on Webhub.
