1. Audit and Risk Policy update

   The Engagement of External Auditors for Non-Audit Work Policy has been revised.

2. Academic Registry online training sessions

   There are lots of academic staff training opportunities still available throughout the remainder of semester one.

3. Making Every Contact Count staff training: September to December

   Book onto the mental health and wellbeing training now.

4. Making Every Contact Count training January

   Staff are invited to take part in a Making Every Contact Count training day on Monday 15 January.

5. Academic Registry invigilation training

   Training sessions will be held via Microsoft Teams throughout April and will cover the main aspects of the role of invigilators, including responsibilities prior to, during and following the completion of the examination.

6. Confidential Waste Policy update

   The updated policy includes further information on disposing of small amounts of confidential waste in confidential waste bins across the university and on how you can order secure bags for larger quantities.

7. Reportable Events Policy update

   Amendments are in line with the latest Office for Students (OfS) guidance.

8. Why the menopause matters and workplace support at LJMU

   For the past two years, colleagues across LJMU have been working to better understand and recognise the type of support needed by those experiencing the menopause, and to devise ways to create greater awareness across the organisation.

9. In memoriam Dr Alistair Beere

   Dr Alistair Beere passed away at the end of August and his funeral arrangements have been shared by his family.

10. Alleged Misconduct in Research and Knowledge Exchange Policy now approved

    The policy can be accessed via the LJMU Policy Centre.
