1. High performance computing at LJMU

   Prospero is LJMU’s high performance computing (HPC) facility for research. It is hosted and operated by the university’s IT Services (ITS) division, as a service to the university’s research community.

   In 1978 gay rights activist Gilbert Baker created the first Pride flag with the goal of it being a symbol for everyone. Since then many new flags were created to represent all communities within the LGBTQI+ community.

5. Your LJMU, Your Voice staff survey

   LJMU carried out an exercise in the spring of 2023 to learn more about the experiences of staff working for the university. Your LJMU, Your Voice was a survey of all staff to find out how factors like our culture and values help them to do their job and feel part of the LJMU community.

6. Staff Disability Network

   The LJMU Staff Disability Network is open to staff whom identify as having a disability (physical, hidden, mental and long-term health conditions), in the first instance.

7. Sharing Practice – Sway, Using visualisation tools to enhance student engagement in assessment tasks

   To mark the movement of the School of Education to the Faculty of Arts, Professional & Social Studies (APSS) this blog post highlights the practice of Sarah Tickle from the School of Justice Studies and her use of Microsoft Sway.
