The Centre for the Port and Maritime History focuses on port cities and examines their relationship to maritime ventures and enterprise. Research examines: urban history, British merchant marine advertising, Liverpool and the British Empire in the eighteenth and twentieth centuries.
LJMU Legal Advice Centre will be used to help us reach even more people in our community and local courts with advice and support initiatives, to inform and to empower.

Research interests within the Health and Wellbeing Research Theme focuses on the psychological aspects of illness, health and healthcare delivery. Mayor of Liverpool, Joanne Anderson, is a courageous leader and an inspiration to so many as the first female Mayor of the city and the first Black woman to be directly elected as a Mayor in the UK.
