   LJMU is to co-host the British Science Festival in the city in 2025.

3. LJMU appoints new Pro-Vice-Chancellor

   Liverpool John Moores University has appointed a new Pro-Vice-Chancellor for External Engagement and Partnerships Dr Aileen Jones, who is currently Executive Director of Investment and Delivery at the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, will take up post at the university in September.

4. Mersey Maritime welcomes LJMU as 'valued' member

   Mersey Maritime is widely recognised as the UK’s leading maritime cluster organisation bringing together industry, government, national trade bodies and academia to champion, grow and protect the UK maritime industry particularly in the North-West.

5. Students at the Heart Conference 2023 submissions now open

   Submissions from across the LJMU community and our partner organisations are now being sought for the 2023 conference taking place in June.

6. Educate North Awards 2016

   LJMU won two categories at the Educate North Awards 2016 and was highly commended for another project.

7. New mental wellbeing peer support

   We have a new team in place to help support any member of staff with their mental wellbeing. The LJMU Connectors are on hand to provide peer support and make sure colleagues have access to the appropriate resources and services.

   Midwifery and History students team up to explore the history of racism in maternity care in Liverpool since Slavery

9. Honorary Fellowship: Emma Rodgers
