1. New innovation support for city region businesses

   LJMU is a partner in a new programme to support and encourage businesses in the Liverpool City Region to increase innovation practice and investment in research and development.

2. Briefing sessions for professorship and readership conferment

   Colleagues who wish to apply to the LJMU professorship and readership conferment process for 2023/24 can now book a place on our briefing sessions.

3. Additional workshops available for leaders and managers

   The Organisational Development teams’ LJMU Leadership Enhancement And Development (LEAD) programme has added another two workshop sessions.

   LJMU is developing proposals to launch our own climate institute and we want to involve staff who can help it make an impact.

   Unitemps answers your frequently asked questions about part-time work while studying at LJMU.

6. Teaching student creates new braille for her visually-impaired pupils

   Enterprising Jade Smith, from St Helens on Merseyside, says the pre-braille method is already being used by youngsters in Liverpool, Lancashire, London, Wales and even in Missouri, in the US.

7. Support for transgender and non-binary students

   We now have dedicated information on our student support webpages, for transgender and non-binary students, to find out how to get help and support while at university, as well as requesting a name change via LJMU.

8. Applications now open for Advance HE Aurora Programme 2024

   Applications are now being taken for a leadership development initiative for women.

9. TLC 2020 - one week left to submit your session idea

   Submissions are still invited from staff and students and collaborative partner institutions, as well as other colleagues working in post-16 education.

10. Postgraduate students – you could win £100 by completing a quick survey

    Could you spare a few minutes to complete a survey about your studies? Your answers to the questionnaire will help us to learn more about what we are doing well and where we could make changes and you will be entered into a prize draw with a chance of winning a cash prize.
