1. Menopause cafes throughout 2024

   This year we will once again host four menopause cafes for our staff, with the first taking place on Tuesday 16 January, and anyone wishing to attend can book via the staff wellbeing events page.

2. LJMU funded bootcamp programme for staff

   We are funding 16 staff places on a new bootcamp programme which will see you complete ’24 in 24’ – that’s 24 sessions in 2024.

3. LJMU earns environmental recognition

   LJMU has been recognised for its environmental initiatives on campus following an external inspection.

4. New hospitality ordering system

   LJMU’s Catering service will shortly introduce a brand new customer-friendly online ordering system for hospitality.

5. Dental plan for LJMU staff

   The scheme provided by Unum Dental is an insurance policy available to LJMU staff, apply by 31 Jan 2024.

6. Making Every Contact Count training January

   Staff are invited to take part in a Making Every Contact Count training day on Monday 15 January.

7. Presenting the past to the public

   Research at LJMU is working on ways of presenting the past and creating content for historic sites and museums across Ireland and the rest of the globe.

8. Technicians survey 2024 to remain open for a further fortnight

   The National Technician Development Centre (NTDC) Technicians Survey at LJMU is open for responses for a further two weeks until Friday 5 April.

   The Research and Knowledge Exchange Plan 2030 outlines the guiding principles, key priorities and themes fundamental to LJMU's identity and ambition.

10. Long service staff celebrate milestones

    Long service staff who have worked at the university for over 25 years were celebrated at an event at the Hilton, Liverpool last week.
