   LJMU’s work experience programme is looking for expressions of interest from staff and teams across the university for a local pupil to undertake a placement within your department.

3. Mike Leigh provides memorable experience

   Liverpool Screen School was delighted to welcome award winning writer and director Mike Leigh for a screening and In Conversation event at Redmonds Building.    

4. Making Liverpool schools sun safe this summer

   Liverpool John Moores University is working with the Skcin cancer charity and the Clare Daly Foundation to roll out the Sun Safe Schools accreditation across primary schools in the Liverpool region, which will benefit up to 10,000 children.

5. Knowsley Parent Power group visit LJMU

   The outreach team, in collaboration with Shaping Futures and The Brilliant Club welcomed the Knowsley Parent Power group onto campus to experience Higher Education and university life.

6. Next phase of CourseLoop set to go live

   The second phase of LJMU’s new curriculum management system is poised to go live and there will be temporary changes in how staff update their course information.

7. In memoriam: Colette Dalton

   We are deeply saddened by the death of Colette Dalton, a much-loved member of our catering team.

8. UKRI open access policy changes from 1 January 2024

   The open access policy applies to monographs, book chapters and edited collections associated with UKRI funding published from 1 January 2024.

9. Introducing eco-friendly search engine Ecosia

   In support of JMSUs Sustainability Week taking place from next Monday, 3 February, the university will be trialling a new eco-friendly default internet search engine.

    Two third year paramedic students sprang to action last week to help a casualty who had fallen on Rodney Street, Liverpool.
