1. Academic Registry online training sessions

   There are lots of academic staff training opportunities still available throughout the remainder of semester one.

2. Special Collections and Archives on the BBC

   The Library's 19th century periodicals collection will be featured in an episode of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip on Thursday 24th January. Presenter Martel Maxwell and expert James Braxton talked to Professor Brian Maidment before heading over to the School of Art & Design to be sketched by two graphic design students.

3. Return of the Professional Services Excellence Awards

   Nominations are now open until Monday 13 January 2025.

4. EndNote software upgrade

   This summer EndNote Desktop software is being upgraded from EndNote X9 to EndNote 20.

5. Armistice Day 2024 arrangements

   We will mark Armistice Day by observing a two-minute silence at 11am on Monday 11 November.

   The new report template and guidance are now available

7. New LJMU Library ‘Every Voice Collection’ available for all students and staff

   The LJMU Library 'Every Voice: Diversity, Equality, Inclusion Collection' has over 8000 titles that champion different voices.

8. New library services website launched

   The LJMU Library website has had a major refresh over summer and has launched this week ready for the new academic year.

9. Update to IT services: IT disruption expected Saturday 24 August

   As part of LJMU security upgrades, key platforms including Canvas, Staff Infobase and parts of the LJMU website will be unavailable on 24 August.
