1. Take a look around Copperas Hill

   Visiting Copperas Hill is an absolute must for all new and returning LJMU students.

2. Drama students to perform during Battle of the Atlantic 80th anniversary week

   The three free performances will take place on Wednesday 24, Thursday 25 and Friday 26 May at 7.30pm at the John Foster Drama Studio.

3. New mental wellbeing peer support

   We have a new team in place to help support any member of staff with their mental wellbeing. The LJMU Connectors are on hand to provide peer support and make sure colleagues have access to the appropriate resources and services.

4. Briefing sessions for professorship and readership conferment

   Colleagues who wish to apply to the LJMU professorship and readership conferment process for 2023/24 can now book a place on our briefing sessions.

5. "I expect January Graduation to be more special than ever"

   We spoke to Head of Corporate Events at LJMU Dawn Fantin about our forthcoming Graduation ceremonies.

6. Christmas closure and support services over the festive break

   The university will close at 5pm on Thursday 23 December and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 4 January. The Student Life Building will be open 24/7 throughout the festive break including on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

7. April/May exam timetable now live

   The next assessment period for LJMU students will take place from Monday 22 April to Friday 3 May 2024 (inclusive).

8. Student Recruitment, Marketing and Admissions take LJMU to Northern Ireland

   Academics, professional service staff and students travelled to Belfast for a recent university applicant day.

9. Law Students Take Part in Mock Employment Tribunal Event

   As part of LJMU's School of Law ethos to provide students with career-shaping opportunities, students recently participated in a mock employment tribunal at Liverpool Town Hall. The event allowed students to experience the inner workings of an Employment Tribunal and observe the skills and knowledge needed as they progress towards their careers in the legal sector. The students were able to experience a simulated trial thanks to the teams at Brabners, 9 St John Street Chambers and Adaptable Recruitment.
