1. Technicians survey 2024 now open

   The National Technician Development Centre (NTDC) Technicians Survey at LJMU is now open for responses until Friday 22 March.

   How to ace your exams and assessments, tips on mastering distraction and quick study hacks, insights on how to prioritise self-care, study spots on and off campus, booking rooms, and support during the exam period.

3. Updated Assessment and Feedback Policy

   The policy has been updated with two new areas of activity on internal moderation and the use of generative AI (GenAI) in assessment.

4. School of Humanities and Social Sciences create Craft Club for student wellbeing

   The department of Media, Culture, Communication in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences has established a new initiative to create space for students to socialise and support their wellbeing.

5. Graduate and Placement Jobs Fair

   The Graduate and Placement Jobs Fair takes place on Wednesday 18 October at the Student Life Building, 12-3pm. It will feature 60+ organisations from a range of sectors looking to hire students from across all courses and disciplines. If you have a disability, health condition or are neurodivergent and find busy fairs can be overwhelming, join us from 11am for our accessibility hour.

6. New Diversity and Inclusion Policy

   The D&I Team has developed the Transgender and Non-Binary Policy for staff and students, with accompanying guidance.

7. Domestic abuse: better safeguarding can aid prosecution

   New research suggests domestic abuse victims are better served by schemes which prioritise safeguarding over prosecution.

8. Fuelling the Lionesses: how research is changing nutrition practice and culture within the women’s game

   Two recent studies, focused specifically on elite female players, conducted by LJMU's Research Institute of Sports and Exercise Sciences (RISES), are helping the national the team to better understand the nutritional requirements of their female players.

9. Additional workshops available for leaders and managers

   The Organisational Development teams’ LJMU Leadership Enhancement And Development (LEAD) programme has added another two workshop sessions.

10. Talented young athletes get expert sport science coaching

    LJMUs School of Sport and Exercise Sciences is piloting a unique programme to support talented young athletes in schools and colleges across Merseyside, and its neighbouring counties.
