1. Armistice Day 2024 arrangements

   We will mark Armistice Day by observing a two-minute silence at 11am on Monday 11 November.

2. Student Information System Upgrade

   The University’s Student Information System (SIS) is being upgraded. SIS will be unavailable during the upgrade, from 5pm on Thursday 21st November until 8am on Tuesday 26th November.

3. Professorial Lecture Ian McCarthy

   The next lecture will take place on Wednesday 15 March from 5pm, sign-up now.

4. Revised new student welcome webpages now live

   Staff are encouraged to take a look through the information we are sharing with new students before the start of the 2023/24 academic year.

5. Sport-for-all manager joins LJMU as part of international collaboration

   LJMU is set to strengthen its reputation for promoting sport-for-all and physical activity in its communities.

   Every year we award a range of scholarships from £1,000 to £5,000 that don't need to be paid back!

8. Formula Student road to Silverstone explored in new 1823 Podcast

   In a special edition of the LJMU 1823 Podcast: The road to Silverstone, Dr Christian Matthews is joined by LJMU e-Racing Head of Team 2022, MSc student Cameron Reedy, and former Head of Team, Rhian Griffith, who now works as a mechanical engineer at the Small Robot Company.
