3. First Step Spring Internships available for Level 4 students

   A new pilot internship programme for first year students (level 4 only) with little to no previous work experience launched on Monday 15 January and close at midnight on Sunday 4 February. There will be no interview process for these opportunities, the Student Futures team will undertake a matching process between participating organisations and students. The internships will begin on Monday 4 March (start dates may vary for each role).

4. National Student Survey 2024

   The National Student Survey (NSS) 2024 is now under way for final year undergraduates at LJMU.

5. Applications for Discovery Internships for level 5 and 6 students now open

   The final round of paid Discovery Internships for this academic year, which are all sustainability themed, are open for applications now from second and final year (level 5 and 6) students.

6. Student Led European Youth Parliament Regional Debating Event

   A European Youth Parliament (EYP) regional debating event was hosted on campus on Wednesday 28 February, organised by LJMU students Rachael Carroll and Zoe Woodward.

   Academics, professional service staff and students travelled to Belfast for a recent university applicant day.

8. Students and staff celebrate Ramaday and join together for Iftar

   Staff and students from across the university, both muslim and non-muslim, came together to break their fast (iftar).

9. MSc Cosmetic Science Students Trip to Croda International PLC

   For the second consecutive year, students pursuing their MSc in Cosmetic Science had the privilege of visiting the head office of Croda International PLC, Cowick Hall in Snaith, Goole, East Yorkshire.
