1. Pupils put art at the heart of STEM

   More than 150 primary school children from across the North West came to LJMU to take part in an innovative, hands-on experience, entitled ‘Art at the heart of STEM.’

   Monday 25th - Friday 29th November is Estranged Students Solidarity Week, a national campaign to raise awareness of the issues affecting students who are studying in higher education without the support of a family network.

6. LightNight 2019 – Rituals – A free one-night arts festival

   Celebrating it's 10th anniversary LightNight returns on Friday 17 May 2019, unlocking the doors of Liverpool’s best-loved and lesser-known arts, culture and heritage venues late into the night.

7. Researching the kingfisher’s iconic hydrodynamic design

   Renowned for their noiseless dive, the kingfisher’s iconic beak-shape has inspired the design of high speed bullet trains. Now scientists have tested beak-shape among some of the birds’ 114 species found world-wide, to assess which shape is the most hydrodynamic.

8. Student wows gallery with da Vinci public event

   Anna's public workshop combined two of Leonardo da Vinci's passions of music and art in a workshop that explored how music can elevate and influence art.

9. Summer estates work programme

   A programme of improvement works to our estate is taking place over the summer months.

10. AVIT group developing a positive AV experience across campus

    Did you know that LJMU has a dedicated Learning Environment Panel and an Audio Visual and Information Technology (AVIT) group whose combined remit is to improve the quality of teaching space across campus?
