1. In memoriam: John Windle

   We are saddened to learn of the death of our former colleague, John Windle.

2. Revised new student welcome webpages now live

   Staff are encouraged to take a look through the information we are sharing with new students before the start of the 2023/24 academic year.

3. Student Information System Upgrade

   The University’s Student Information System (SIS) is being upgraded. SIS will be unavailable during the upgrade, from 5pm on Thursday 21st November until 8am on Tuesday 26th November.

4. In memorium: Gaynor Holmes

   The university is saddened to report the death of Gaynor Holmes who will be known to many staff for her long years of service in HR.

5. Scholarships for new students

   Every year we award a range of scholarships from £1,000 to £5,000 that don't need to be paid back!

   16 PGRs attended 2 1/2 day intensive writing retreat at Gladstone's Library, Hawarden

9. £5,000 raised for charity through NSS

   Our charity fundraising total stands at £5,000 after the first month of the National Student Survey (NSS).

10. Board of Governors Election - Teaching Staff

    There is currently one vacancy on the Board of Governors for a member of Teaching staff for the period of office 21st April 2020 to 20th April 2023.
