1. LJMU makes commitment to become a Menopause Friendly employer

   Marking World Menopause Day 2024 the university continues to progress its workplace support, awareness and understanding of the menopause.

2. Dental plan for LJMU staff

   The scheme provided by Unum Dental is an insurance policy available to LJMU staff, apply by 31 Jan 2024.

3. P60s now available on Staff Infobase

   P60s for the tax year 2023-24 (ending 5 April 2024) are now available on Staff Infobase.

4. New date for staff event raising awareness of domestic abuse support

   Staff are invited to an event on Wednesday 14 December from 10am to 11am at Exchange Station (Room 1 & 2), where they can find out more about how we're supporting those impacted by domestic abuse.

5. Applications now open for Advance HE Aurora programme 2025

   Apply by 5pm on Friday 8 November 2024.

6. Menopause cafes to take place in person throughout 2023

   To keep conversations moving forward around the menopause, dates in January, April, July and October 2023 have been set for the next four menopause cafes.

7. New and improved LJMU Policy Centre

   The new policy centre has launched.

8. Why the menopause matters and workplace support at LJMU

   For the past two years, colleagues across LJMU have been working to better understand and recognise the type of support needed by those experiencing the menopause, and to devise ways to create greater awareness across the organisation.

9. Free winter flu jabs for staff

   As part of our employee wellbeing focus, we are again offering staff a voucher for a free winter flu jab.
