1. LJMU features in Ri Christmas Lectures

   Academics from LJMU will be helping to reveal the secrets of forensic science in the Royal Institution’s prestigious Christmas Lectures.

2. LJMU Lecturer Dr Robert Macdonald wins Design in Mental Health Network Award

   An LJMU Lecturer at the Liverpool School of Art and Design, Dr Robert Macdonald, has won the Design in Mental Health Network Award (DIMHN) for his contribution to local mental health services.

3. LJMU lecturer and terrorism expert advises Police on anti-terror policies

   LJMU is proving to be a pioneering voice in shaping police policy around terrorism and protecting young people from radicalisation in the region. Dr David Lowe, senior lecturer at the School of Law and leading expert on counter-terrorism has been working closely with Merseyside Police HQ, presenting at their recent Prevent Seminar, while assisting with guidance on law and policy issues more generally.

4. Maritime law lecturer named in top 100 list of women in shipping

   Anna Kaparaki, a lecturer in maritime law with LJMU, has been named in the list for the fifth consecutive year.

5. Women in Sport Journalism Day

   It has been called the last men's club in journalism, but expect a much more female future for the UK's sport coverage.

6. Lecturer at LJMU scoops prestigious honour for Design and Technology education

   Matt McLain from LJMU’s School of Education has been honoured for his achievements in teacher training at the Design and Technology Association Excellence Awards held last month. The Design and Technology teachers of tomorrow may have a special someone to thank for inspiring them in their careers, if a special accolade awarded to an LJMU lecturer is anything to go by.

7. Upcoming Professorial Inaugural Lecture Series

   The next series begins in November 2022 with Professor Trung Thanh Nguyen from LJMU’s School of Engineering.

8. Mental health lecturer launches website to help medical professionals support asylum seekers and refugees

   A new online resource hub to help health care professionals signpost refugees and asylum seekers to support services has been created by a senior lecturer in mental health at LJMU.

9. Roscoe Lecture Series returns in our bicentenary year

   We are delighted to confirm the return of our ever-popular Roscoe Lecture Series, in this our special bicentenary year. There will be three Roscoe lectures in 2023 in March, May and October.

10. Lecturer's work featured in national showcase

    A project featuring a lecturer from LJMU will take centre stage next week (Monday 14 June Saturday 19 June) at the British Academys Summer Showcase.
