1. Graduation review: Wednesday 10 July

   Students from Liverpool Screen School, the School of Law, Liverpool School of Art and Design and the Liverpool Centre for Advanced Policing Studies received their awards.

2. TRANSPEER in Lisbon

   The Portugal-leg of TRANSPEER, the international researcher development programme, has taken place in Lisbon.​​​​​​​

3. Alumnus wins coveted poetry prize

   We’re thrilled to learn that one of our Creative Writing graduates, Callan Waldron-Hall, was recently recognised for his outstanding writing at the Poetry Business New Poets Prize.

4. Launch of MSc Emergency Care module

   The universitys new and innovative MSc Emergency Care module has been well received, with more than 200 stakeholders, leaders and healthcare professionals attending the launch symposium.

5. In memoriam: Dr Jo Croft

   Dr Jo Croft, senior lecturer in English, died of cancer on 15 January. She was a dearly-loved colleague and teacher at LJMU for nearly 28 years.

6. Supporting those facing domestic abuse

   LJMU is backing a campaign to support people facing gender-based violence.

7. Celebrating Cultures Event

   The celebrating cultures event this year had India, China, Canada, Pakistan, Colombia, Nepal, England, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lesotho, Scotland, Vietnam, Nigeria, Indonesia, Greece, Italy, Bangladesh, Switzerland, Iran, Somalia and Brazil being represented. Following this event, an international student wrote a reflection on their experience in participating.

8. Honour Based Abuse, Female Genital Mutilation and Forced Marriage conference held in partnership with Savera UK 

   LJMU equality and diversity team worked in partnership with SaveraUK to host an inspiring HBA, FGM and FM event in November 2019.

9. City heritage walks return

   We are delighted to announce the return of our successful heritage walks around Liverpool.

10. Exciting events at our new Student Life Building this month!

    Our brand new Student Life Building is open and to celebrate all our students being back on campus weve got lots of FREE and exciting activities planned for induction week (W/C 20th September).
