1. Competitive football players have superior vision, LJMU-led study suggests

   A new study lead by LJMU has found that the visual abilities of competitive football players are substantially better than those of healthy non-athletes.

2. Discovery of a New Galaxy in Cosmic Neighbourhood

   Astronomers, including Professor Maurizio Salaris from the Astrophysics Research Institute at Liverpool John Moores University, used the Hubble Space Telescope to photograph the globular star cluster NGC 6752 (located 13,000 light-years away in our Milky Way's halo).

   LJMU’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team, are proud to be working in partnership with coaching and training specialists; Result CIC (Community Interest Company) and are pleased to offer LJMU Managers, Programme Leaders and Personal Tutors (those directly responsible for staff/students) the opportunity to participate in a half day Training for Managers of Staff with Disabilities & Long-Term Health Conditions Including Mental Health, workshop.

   LJMU has won an award at the PICCASO Privacy Awards Europe 2023 for a Privacy and Digital Security project created by staff and students.
