1. New library services website launched

   The LJMU Library website has had a major refresh over summer and has launched this week ready for the new academic year.

2. New investment in Library services

   Read more about the new agreement that will make it even easier to search LJMU’s rich Library collection from August 2017.

3. New Forensic Research Institute launched

   LJMU has launched a new Forensic Research Institute (FORRI) to support and enhance the criminal justice system.

4. New approach to degree apprenticeships

   LJMU is developing a new, more efficient process to manage our degree apprenticeship programmes.

5. New support for staff development

   The university will shortly be introducing a new system to support you in recording and tracking performance and development conversations.

6. New Workplace Wellbeing Charter accreditation

   LJMU's commitment to ensuring the health and wellbeing of staff has been recognised with a Workplace Wellbeing Charter accreditation.

7. Your new Academic Board members

   Following the call for nominations for five vacancies on our Academic Board, the Secretariat is pleased to announce that they have filled the positions.

8. New LJMU professors and readers

   LJMU has confirmed a number of new professors and readers following a rigorous process.

9. New Academic Achievement teaching resources

   Each of these resources is a standalone academic skills class accompanied by a full lesson plan with teaching notes.

10. New website course search function

    This week marks the launch of an exciting new development to our website. A project group have been working with an external agency (Sagittarius) to improve the course search function.
