   Congratulations to all the winners and nominees at the JMSU Student Experience Awards 2024.

2. LJMU and JMSU share their words of wisdom for new students

   From trying new things to asking for help and support, and simply being yourself!

3. First Step Spring Internships available for Level 4 students

   A new pilot internship programme for first year students (level 4 only) with little to no previous work experience launched on Monday 15 January and close at midnight on Sunday 4 February. There will be no interview process for these opportunities, the Student Futures team will undertake a matching process between participating organisations and students. The internships will begin on Monday 4 March (start dates may vary for each role).

4. 20% off at LJMU Core Cafes with your Student ID

   Did you know students get 20% off all food and drink at LJMU’s Core on Campus Cafes.

5. Tips for moving into your student accommodation

   Maya, a former LJMU student who now works in our accommodation team, gives those all important tips for moving into your new student accommodation. 

6. Student Information System Upgrade

   The University’s Student Information System (SIS) is being upgraded. SIS will be unavailable during the upgrade, from 5pm on Thursday 21st November until 8am on Tuesday 26th November.

7. Complete the Student Lifestyle and Health Survey 2024

   Each year we run this survey, it only takes 10 minutes to complete and asks you a range of questions from how much sleep you get, to if you get anxious and how often you feel stressed.

8. LJMU pledges to secure successful student futures at House of Commons

   22 universities, including Liverpool John Moores University and JMSU have pledged to develop a Student Futures Manifesto joint action between a university and its students to improve the student experience.
