   LJMU has been part of a successful consortium bid for funds to improve opportunities for Black, Asian and minority ethnic students to undertake postgraduate research.

   The final round of paid Discovery Internships for this academic year, which are all sustainability themed, are open for applications now from second and final year (level 5 and 6) students.

    Civil engineers who developed a new type of cement which creates 80% fewer carbon emissions have won a prestigious international prize.
