2. LJMU policing programmes "a model for the UK"

   Merseyside’s Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) has described LJMU’s extensive education programmes in policing as “a model for the UK”.

3. Inter Faith Week 2023

   Our Diversity and Inclusion team spoke to LJMU’s chaplains about the importance of Inter Faith Week, 12 to 19 November.

4. First Step Spring Internships available for Level 4 students

   A new pilot internship programme for first year students (level 4 only) with little to no previous work experience launched on Monday 15 January and close at midnight on Sunday 4 February. There will be no interview process for these opportunities, the Student Futures team will undertake a matching process between participating organisations and students. The internships will begin on Monday 4 March (start dates may vary for each role).

5. International tourism management students gain industry insight at airport visit

   Second year international tourism management students were given a tour of Liverpool John Lennon Airport earlier this month to gain insight into the operational and strategic challenges of managing one of the fastest growing airports in Europe.

6. Law and Justice Careers Fair, Wednesday 20 November

   Are you interested in pursuing a career in a law or criminal justice setting? Attend the Law and Justice Careers Fair.

7. National Teaching Fellowship awarded to Dr Craig Hammond

   LJMUs Dr Craig Hammond, a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education, has been recognised for his outstanding impact on student outcomes and the teaching profession in higher education, with a National Teaching Fellowship.

8. Fancy a Pint of Science?

   Academics and postgraduate students from across LJMU are set to share their research as part of the Pint of Science festival.
