1. UKRI open access policy changes from 1 January 2024

   The open access policy applies to monographs, book chapters and edited collections associated with UKRI funding published from 1 January 2024.

2. Workshops for researchers now available to book for 2024

   Further workshops will take place throughout 2024 aimed at researchers and postgraduate researchers (PGRs) to enhance how they manage their research data.

3. Research Data Repository has a fresh new look and search functions

   You can now search by year, division, field of research, author, data type and funder.

5. Open Research Week 2022

   Liverpool John Moores University, the University of Liverpool and Edge Hill University libraries are delighted to announce our programme for Open Research Week 2022, taking place from 14th-17th February 2022. There are 8 events over 4 days. All will take place over Microsoft Teams and each session can be booked individually. All events will be recorded; if you are unable to attend but are interested in the content, please sign up and the recording will be sent out to you in due course.

6. Survey shows LJMU is a good place to work

   Staff at LJMU believe it is a good place to work, according to the results of this year’s Your LJMU, Your Voice survey.

7. UKRI open access monograph funding changes

   A reminder that UKRI has recently announced their guidance and requirements with regards to publishing open access monographs, which come into place from 1 January 2024.

8. LJMU and Unite Students host inaugural 'Living Black at University' symposium

   A 'research into action symposium' has been held at LJMU. The event, organised by LJMU Associate Deans: Diversity and Inclusion, explored and shared the experiences of Black students at university and discussed how to turn the research into positive action.

10. Liverpool Business School makes global entrepreneurship impact with Prime Minister of Lebanon

    Academics from LJMU's Liverpool Business School, alongside project colleagues from the Middle East, have met with the Prime Minister of Lebanon, Mr. Najib Mikati, at the Grand Serail to present a policy brief on entrepreneurship in Lebanon.
