1. Changes to the Leadership and Development Foundation

   The Leadership and Development Foundation is undergoing some changes to better support all staff development across the whole of LJMU.

2. Teaching textile and craft processes to high school pupils

   Staff and students from the Liverpool School of Art and Design have opened their workshops to pupils from Crosby High School as part of a four-month long collaboration exploring university learning.

3. Professorship and readership conferment process

   To provide as much planning time as possible we can confirm that the LJMU professorship and readership conferment process for 2023/24 will open from 27 November 2023.

4. Prestigious civil engineering title for Dr Ana Bras

   Dr Ana Bras has been named as a policy fellow within the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the UK’s leading source of expertise in civil engineering.

5. Student Lifestyle and Health Survey 2023

   The 2023 Student Lifestyle and Health Survey is your chance to help LJMU provide better support and services for your health and wellbeing here at LJMU.

6. Support for care experienced students to be enhanced beyond graduation

   A £50,000 donation will be used to help end the ‘care cliff’ for LJMU students as they finish their studies.

7. Developing the diverse workforce of the future for engineering and technology

   LJMU hosted events with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers exploring diversity and inclusion in engineering and technology skills.

8. New Diversity and Inclusion Policy

   The D&I Team has developed the Transgender and Non-Binary Policy for staff and students, with accompanying guidance.

9. International endorsement of sport strength and conditioning internship at LJMU

   The International Universities Strength and Conditioning Association has recognised LJMU for the quality of its Performance Sport Internship Scheme.

10. Grad Academy for 2022 grads and current final year students

    From 2 to 11 May join the Grad Academy events and get support from the Student Futures team in the lead up to graduation and beyond on your journey to your next career destination!
