   Four new student officers are now in post for the 2024/2025 academic year to represent the 27,000 students at LJMU.

   LJMU has performed well in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2023. The Office for Students (OfS) has published the survey results, which paint a positive picture of the LJMU student experience, while helping us to identify some areas for improvement.

   Academics, professional service staff and students travelled to Belfast for a recent university applicant day.

4. LJMU is offering students access to IT services off campus like never before

   Do you prefer to study out of hours? Is there a pressing lab report that you need access to? No problem! LJMU is providing students with 24/7 access to IT services off campus. That means you can access Office 365 from your own device and download other software onto your own laptop/computer as well as accessing lab computers.

5. New service connecting LJMU’s student talent to Merseyside business gets underway

   As a major development towards LJMU’s goal of more readily matching student and graduate talent to the needs of Merseyside businesses, we have entered into an agreement with Unitemps to establish a specialist recruitment service for the region.

6. LJMU awarded Top 20 in StudentCrowd University Awards

   Liverpool John Moores University has been awarded top 20 positions, across seven categories, in the StudentCrowd University Awards 2023

7. Aldham Robarts Library to remain closed on Sundays until end of 2023

   Staff and students can access alternate library services at the Student Life Building or visit the Avril Robarts Library on Sundays.

9. Staff event at Student Life Building

   Our next staff open day at the Student Life Building takes place on Wednesday 24 November, with networking opportunities, a chance to find out more about the building and its services, plus a free lunch.

10. Graduate and Placement Recruitment Fair – 10 March, 12-3pm, Student Life Building

    Students from any programme or level of study are invited to attend this fair to meet and network with 50+ employers offering internships, placements and graduate roles.
