   Our work experience programme is looking for expressions of interest from staff and teams across the university for a Year 10 pupil to undertake a placement within your department.

6. Student Spotlight: Abbie Romano

   The representations of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) roles is improving, but there’s work to be done. As of 2018, WISE Campaign (Women into Science and Engineering) announced that the UK is on track to have one million women working in the field by 2020. These statistics are encouraging, and demonstrate an improvement in opportunities shown to young women who pursue the career path.

7. Grad Fest 2019 – event for final year students on 3 April

   Grad Fest 2019 is a new event for final year students at LJMU, taking place on 3 April from 2pm-7pm at the John Lennon Art and Design Building.

8. Merseyside Chief Constable's Lecture: Guns and Gangs

   Chief Constable of Merseyside Police Andy Cooke QPM delivered this year's Annual Chief Constable's Lecture titled ‘Guns and Gangs’.

10. Cheering for research and innovation at the Royal Court

    LJMU welcomed nearly 300 staff to the third Research and Innovation Day at the Royal Court on 20 June.
