   SCIENTIFIC methods developed at Liverpool John Moores University and Chester Zoo to count animals from the air are being adopted in the wilds of Madagascar.

   Following the Challenging Racism Collaborative Campaign (webinar series), the University of Kent, Liverpool John Moores University and City, University of London are working with Inclusive Employers to deliver a virtual, Inclusive Allyship Programme.

4. Great apes predicted to lose 90% of African homelands, study finds

   A triple-whammy of climate change, land-use change and human population growth is set to decimate the habitats of Africas great apes gorillas, chimpanzees and bonobos over the coming 30 years.

5. LJMU PE, School Sport and Physical Activity Network Event

   This face-to-face event is for primary and secondary teachers, Sport/PE students, trainee teachers and sports coaches working in schools. The event will: Disseminate the research activity and projects across LJMU PESSPA network Reflect upon the findings and recommendations of the Ofsted subject PE report series (Sept 2023) Celebrate collaborative activities/events.

7. Integrated Care Symposium

   Academics and practitioners interested in integrated care across the Liverpool City Region are encouraged to attend the inaugural event on Wednesday 10 July.

8. MA Art in Science exhibition - 'Fading Footsteps'

   Visual art can be a powerful activist tool to combat biodiversity loss and foster greater emotional regard for non-human animals. This exhibition presents an auto-ethnographical account of a visit to Uganda. Personal meaning maps, paintings and films aim to stimulate awareness of endangered and vulnerable primate species and evoke increased empathy towards supporting conservation.

9. Litter Picking: Mount Pleasant

   The Environmental Sustainability and Energy Team at LJMU are litter picking around campus, keeping our city and estate clean for our community.

10. Recycle Week: Waste Seminar

    Recycle Week is an annual campaign by Recycle Now to encourage better recycling in the UK. The Environmental Sustainability and Energy Team are holding a number of events to educate and encourage positive behaviours around waste throughout the week.
