1. New look and menu for LJMU catering outlets

   LJMU is launching a brand new look and menu across all of our catering outlets.

2. MA Student shortlisted for ‘Tourism Young Person of the Year’

   LJMU student Victoria Smith, 24 was shortlisted for the Tourism Young Person of the Year award at this years Liverpool City Region Tourist Awards 2022. The awards, that took place at Liverpool Cathedral, saw businesses and guests from across Liverpool celebrating the city regions tourism sector.

3. Responding to our Community and Neighbourhoods

   LJMU is proud of its place in Liverpool and we are at the beating heart of almost everything that happens in the region.  However, with that presence comes a responsibility to be mindful and aware of our potential impact. In partnership with the other universities in the city, LJMU has embarked on a number of initiatives to work with local residents.

4. Amy's 'energy balls' boost Europe's women to Solheim Cup

   Europe's Solheim Cup stars had LJMUs own Amy O'Donnell to thank for the amazing energy levels that brought women's golf's top trophy home.

5. Staff and students welcome changes to Highway Code that promote active travel

   Staff and students at LJMU have welcomed changes to the Highway Code that restructure the road hierarchy and prioritise walking and cycling.

6. Future Fortnight: 28 February to 11 March – open to all students

   Join the Student Futures team for a series of events helping you think about your future goals. The sessions are friendly, open to students from any programme or year group and will help you gain clarity on your next steps.

7. Raising environmental awareness among schoolchildren

   LJMU has been awarded funding to help raise awareness and understanding of the climate, the environment and nature among schoolchildren in the Liverpool City Region.

9. LJMU takes handover of landmark Copperas Hill development

   Liverpool John Moores University has taken handover of its landmark new development on Copperas Hill. Contractor Morgan Sindall Construction has reached practical completion of the three and a half acre site in the heart of the city centre.
