1. Health and Safety policy updates

   A number of Health and Safety policies have been amended and approved by the Health and Safety Committee.

2. LJMU launches University Funded Diversity and Inclusion Scheme

   LJMU is providing grants to academic staff, students, and professional services staff, to work on research across the university related to Diversity and Inclusion.

3. Christmas closure and support services over the festive break

   The university will close at 5pm on Thursday 23 December and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 4 January. The Student Life Building will be open 24/7 throughout the festive break including on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

4. Registration open for conference on decolonial approaches to teaching and research

   A mini-conference highlighting developments in decolonial approaches to teaching and research across the university featuring three sessions of talks and discussion on decolonising pedagogy, assessment and research methods, will take place in November.

5. Sign up to staff wellbeing activities this Feel Fab Feb

   From wellbeing wanders to art therapy, LJMU has a month’s worth of free events for all staff to get involved in this Feel Fab Feb.

6. Nominate an LJMU honorary fellow

   We’re asking our students, staff, alumni and LJMU community to nominate individuals they would like to become an LJMU honorary fellow.

7. Liverpool School of Art and Design MA students' work celebrated in exhibition

   The end of year exhibition runs until 1 September 2023, 10am – 5pm at the John Lennon Art and Design Building.

8. Graduation review: Thursday 14 July

   The penultimate day of LJMU's 2016 Summer Graduation Ceremonies took place at Liverpool Cathedral on Thursday 14 July.

9. Graduates win Royal Television Society award

   Four Media Production graduates have won a prestigious Royal Television Society (RTS) award for their film ‘Gnomes.’

10. Your new Academic Staff Governor Caroline Wilkinson

    Following a fortnight-long election period, Caroline received the majority of votes out of the eight self-nominated candidates and will now serve on the Board for the next three years.
