1. The University Funded Diversity and Inclusion Scheme research initiatives announced

   After consideration of all applications to the University Funded Diversity and Inclusion Scheme, the projects to receive funding have been announced.

2. Ice Age bone samples reveal DNA links between wolves and dogs

   An international group of geneticists and archaeologists have analysed bones samples, some provided by LJMU, that reveal the ancestry of dogs can be traced to at least two populations of ancient wolves.

4. Updated Assessment and Feedback Policy

   The policy has been updated with two new areas of activity on internal moderation and the use of generative AI (GenAI) in assessment.

   A project group has updated our Assessment and Feedback Policy as well as launched a new mini site of guidance for staff to utilise.

   The Leadership and Development Foundation is undergoing some changes to better support all staff development across the whole of LJMU.

   Our Research Engagement Team within Library Services wants to know more about your research outcomes and is sharing new guidance on using the LJMU data repository.

   The Employment Committee has recently approved a new diversity and inclusion policy and guidance document, as well as amendments to an existing policy.

9. Health and Safety policy updates

   A number of Health and Safety policies have been amended and approved by the Health and Safety Committee.
