   Liverpool John Moores University scooped University of the Year at the Educate North Awards 2017.

   Liverpool John Moores University awards Honorary Fellowship to Dr Larry DeNardis at Liverpool Cathedral on Wednesday 12 July 2017.

3. Exciting development opportunity for women to undertake action learning with peers from North West universities

   We are pleased to offer this development opportunity for up to 15 women working in academic and professional services roles to take part in cross institutional action learning sets with peers from universities in the North West region. Action learning provides a unique space for women to support each other to overcome work and career related challenges. This opportunity has been taken up previously by 150 women. Participant feedback includes: it was not role specific, so there were a range of individuals with different roles/skills/perspective which enriched my experience and It provided a rare opportunity to discuss issues confidentially outside of ones own workplace which helped me to develop more self-confidence and self-awareness.

4. Inspirational student reaches £150,000 target to repay his life-saving bone marrow transplant

   Andrew Davies, who is in his second year studying a Sport and Exercise Science degree, has completed his mission to raise £150,000 to pay back the hospital which saved his life six years ago.

6. Women In Leadership: What Does It Take For Women To Rise To The Top? (Event Invite - 26th Feb 2020)

   After 33 years of service, Julie Lloyd (Executive HR Director at LJMU) retires from the University. Julie is passionate about improving gender diversity and will offer tips on how to obtain a top leadership roles and how to promote gender diversity in senior positions.

   We are delighted to announce our two new Corporate Charities - Claire House Children's Hospice and The Girls Network.

8. We know more about relationships now than we knew before 

   A collaboration with pupils and staff at St Vincent's school and funded by Children in Need Janette Porter and Kay Standing from Sociology, supported by LJMU placement students

9. Taking Shaun the Sheep to China

   Aardman Animations is teaming up with creative technology experts in Liverpool to develop research for an immersive Shaun the Sheep experience in China.

10. From female students to football leaders

    Football-mad students are on their way to dream roles after graduating from the elite FA University Womens Leadership Programme.
