1. Academic Board Elections - Teaching Staff

   Elections for the Academic Board teaching staff will take place from 24th May until 11th June 2019.

2. Academic Board Elections - Non-Teaching Staff

   Following the call for nominations, an election for the non-teaching member of staff on Academic Board will take place.

3. Board of Governors Election - Teaching Staff

   There is currently one vacancy on the Board of Governors for a member of Teaching staff for the period of office 21st April 2020 to 20th April 2023.

4. Reflections on what the new government could do for UK business

   Anthony Walker, Strategic Manager for the Horizons project at LJMU spoke with Startups.co.uk on growing the economy under a new UK government.

5. Celebrating Cultures Event

   The celebrating cultures event this year had India, China, Canada, Pakistan, Colombia, Nepal, England, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lesotho, Scotland, Vietnam, Nigeria, Indonesia, Greece, Italy, Bangladesh, Switzerland, Iran, Somalia and Brazil being represented. Following this event, an international student wrote a reflection on their experience in participating.

6. Academic Staff Governor Elections

   Following the call for nominations, eight candidates are standing for election, with the election period opening on Monday 5 June and running until Monday 19 June.

7. Staff Governor voting now open

   All Professional Services staff have until 5pm on Monday 27 March to vote for their preferred Staff Governor candidate.

8. New Teaching and Learning Academy policies

   Two new policies will support teaching staff in their development through peer exchange and direct observation.

9. Academic Staff Governor voting now open

   All Academic staff have until 5pm on Monday 19 June to vote for their preferred Academic Staff Governor candidate.

10. Armistice Day 2024 arrangements

    We will mark Armistice Day by observing a two-minute silence at 11am on Monday 11 November.
