1. New website course search function

   This week marks the launch of an exciting new development to our website. A project group have been working with an external agency (Sagittarius) to improve the course search function.

2. New service connecting LJMU’s student talent to Merseyside business gets underway

   As a major development towards LJMU’s goal of more readily matching student and graduate talent to the needs of Merseyside businesses, we have entered into an agreement with Unitemps to establish a specialist recruitment service for the region.

3. Professional Services Staff Governor Elections

   Five candidates have put themselves forwards for the position and voting will take place between Monday 13 and 27 March.

4. Academic Staff Governor Elections

   Following the call for nominations, eight candidates are standing for election, with the election period opening on Monday 5 June and running until Monday 19 June.

5. Thesis Boot Camp

   PGRs attended 2 day residential writing event, at Gladstone's Library in Wales.

6. How is lockdown affecting our health?

   Public health experts at Liverpool John Moores University are looking into how lockdown has affected the physical and mental health of people in the North West.

7. January exams to be moved online

   We have made the decision to move all examinations scheduled from 4th January online

   LJMU School of Engineering part of 12 industry collaborations funded to decarbonise maritime activities

9. Fashion students' 'sustainable Eurovision collection' in John Lewis

   Fashion students have collaborated with BEPO to create a sustainable Eurovision collection for Liverpool ONE’s John Lewis

10. 'Reverse Big Ideas' on Policing, Criminalisation and the Community

    40 speakers and guests attended an event in LJMU’s Education Building last week to discuss the themes of policing, community and criminal justice.
